Is GTA 6 2-player or co-op?

No. Nothing has been announced for two controllers on one console (split-screen) or for playing the story online with a friend. Seeing Jason and Lucia in the same scene does not make it co-op; one player plays a story with two lead characters.

Not for now: Rockstar has not announced an online mode for GTA 6, a date for one, or a GTA Online character transfer. If you want to play with friends, the GTA Online that is live today is the one inside GTA V.
