When does the GTA 6 review embargo lift?

Some outlets waiting until launch day suggests Rockstar gave different dates to different outlets; nobody has said which ones.
BlackBate's claim spread across gaming sites on October 24, and neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has responded to it. We'll update this page when anything new comes in.
Have GTA 6 review copies gone out?
According to leakers, copies go out at the end of October. Sending them early despite the August and October leaks would give reviewers about 3 weeks to finish the game. Rockstar hasn't commented.

When will the GTA 6 Metacritic score show up?
As soon as the embargo lifts. Metacritic and OpenCritic add reviews as they publish and update the average right away, so with only a handful of reviews in, the score can swing on day one. There is no GTA 6 score yet.

Rockstar's last 3 big games all scored 97 or higher, so the bar for GTA 6 is very high.
Should you wait for reviews before buying?
The digital edition can't sell out, so if you want to read reviews first, wait until November 18 and buy then. Rockstar's digital bonus (the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+) covers purchases before November 20, so buying after the reviews doesn't cost you the bonus.
