Changed your mind about a GTA 6 pre-order? Start with the store named on the receipt. PlayStation Store and Microsoft use different cancellation routes. Keep the order date, payment status and download status in front of you before starting.

Starting the main preload counts as downloading. Remember automatic downloads: never having launched the game is not enough on its own. Use Sony’s cancellation page to contact support. The table summarises ordinary change-of-mind conditions.

Xbox / Microsoft: start in order history
Open the GTA VI order in Order History on the Microsoft account used to buy it, then follow the cancellation option. Microsoft says cancellation after billing but before release is processed as a refund. If the option is missing, follow the Xbox refund route linked in its support page.

Before you consider it finished
Note the order number, edition and request date. Sending a request and receiving confirmation are different stages; check the order status and confirmation message. If you chose the wrong edition, establish what happened to the old order before paying again.
