How much does GTA 6 cost?

GTA 6 is a paid game. Prices in other regions are in the price-by-country guide linked below.

You can buy it on PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and the Rockstar Store. There’s also a boxed copy, Standard only, with a download code inside instead of a disc. Rockstar recommends buying from a retailer in your account’s country, because a copy from another region has to match your platform account’s region.

Can you download GTA 6 for free on PC?

No. Rockstar’s GTA VI pages list only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. There’s no PC version, no PC release date and no PC system requirements. A “GTA 6 PC download”, crack or repack isn’t the game, whatever the file is called.

Are GTA 6 torrents and “full version” downloads real?

No. GTA 6 doesn’t come out until November 19, 2026, so there’s no finished game for anyone to upload. Whatever those files are, they aren’t GTA 6, and you can’t know what they’ll install on your PC or phone.

The same goes for the “free GTA 6” posts that keep going around on social media. Rockstar hasn’t announced a free version, a giveaway or any special offer for GTA VI. If a claim isn’t on Rockstar’s own site, treat it as fake.

Can you get GTA 6 free on mobile or with a subscription?

There’s no mobile version, so any “GTA 6 APK” isn’t from Rockstar. Playing on a phone and the Game Pass, PS Plus and GTA+ question each have their own guide, linked at the bottom of this page.

Is the GTA 6 preload free?

The preload costs nothing extra, but you have to own the game first. It opens on November 12, 2026, at local midnight; with a boxed copy it starts after you redeem the code. A preload doesn’t unlock anything early, so you still start playing on November 19, 2026.

Are cheap GTA 6 keys and accounts safe to buy?

Rockstar says buying keys or accounts from third-party sellers is against its policy. That covers “GTA 6 pre-installed” accounts and too-good-to-be-true key sites. If a page offers you a free copy in exchange for your login, close it.

How to protect your Rockstar account

  • Never share your password, even with someone who says they’ll add the game to your account.
  • Check the sender’s email domain before you trust a message that claims to be from Rockstar.
  • Turn on two-step verification.
  • Buy from PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store, the Rockstar Store or a retailer you trust.

Will GTA 6 become free after launch?
Rockstar hasn’t said yet. Right now the only versions on sale are the paid Standard and Ultimate Editions.
Can I play GTA 6 for free on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. GTA 6 isn’t coming to PS4 or Xbox One at all, only to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
